Il ragazzo con i gabbiani is a bronze casting created by Fazzini in 1986, based on the original sculpture created between 1940 and 1944. Situated at the entrance to the cycle and footpath linking Grottammare to Cupra Marittima, set against a vast natural backdrop and in perfect harmony with its surroundings, the work can be considered one of the artist’s finest, not least because it embodies that distinctive lightness which characterises many of his works and which led Giuseppe Ungaretti to describe him as ‘the sculptor of the wind’.
