On the way up to the ‘Vecchio Incasato’ – that is, the medieval centre of Grottammare – you can admire another significant work by Fazzini near the Parco della Madonnina: the Portrait of Mario Rivosecchi. This sculpture is dedicated to the poet and art historian, a fellow townsman of the sculptor, who recognised his talent when the sculptor was still a boy, subsequently helping him to gain a foothold in Roman cultural circles and closely following his early artistic career.
