La città di Grottammare

Grottammare si affaccia sulla costa adriatica tra il verde delle sue pinete, degli aranceti e delle palme, con le sue spiagge dorate e il limpido chiarore del mare. Le acque pulite, il litorale di sabbia finissima, l’incanto dei suggestivi scorci del borgo antico e la rigogliosa vegetazione, compongono un affresco di colori e profumi dimenticati che rendono unica la nostra cittadina.

Oasis "Santa Maria dei Monti"

The complex building dates back to the beginning of XVII century and was due to Father Nicola from Monteprandone, belonging to the reformed religious minor monks order who proposed the settling of a religious community in the place where a small Marian sanctuary was situated, erected between XIV and XV as protection from the plague and dedicated to the Madonna ai Monti.
The Great Tower

In the northern side there is a square plant tower based on a scarp podium and probably realised between XV and XVI century, according to the wall face. Inside there are two communicating baths with spring water.

Grottammare, once praised in XV century by the humanist Flavio Biondo for its landscape beauties, offers the tourist still today, the possibility of being purified from smog, noise and thoughts ehich poison the city life, letting him discover again forgotten perfumes and colours, as well as taste the quietness of the time lived in full harmony with nature.
Fenili Palace

The Fenili Palace is one of the residences built in the new urban town of Grottammare after the widening designed in 1779.
